Adhesor® Carbofine is a zinc-polycarboxylate luting cement that is non-irritating, does not affect the pulp, has natural adhesion to hard dental tissues and is an X-ray contrast material. The manufacturer is Spofa Dental.
Packing of cement Adhesive Carbofine: 80 g of powder + 55 g of liquid
Indications for the use of zinc polycarboxylic cement Adhesor Carbofine:
- As a lining material for amalgam and composite fillings. Its use is suitable, for example, for overlapping calcium hydroxide-based preparations.
- In addition, Carbofine is used in cases where the cavity cannot be thoroughly dried, as the adhesive shows a high degree of adhesion in a humid environment.
- As a temporary filling for a maximum period of 6 months.
- For cementation of small permanent dentures (one or max. two crowns).
Contraindications: (Adgesor Adgezor)
The material is not used in case of known hypersensitivity to some of its components.
Processing: The recommended mixing ratio for luting material and temporary fillings is 3g of powder per 1g of liquid, which corresponds to 3 scoops of powder per 5 drops of liquid.
For cementation, a ratio of 1.8-2.2 g of powder to 1 g of liquid is recommended, which is 2 scoops of powder to 5 drops of liquid.
The powder is added to the liquid in two portions within 30 seconds.
The processing time is approximately 2 minutes at a temperature of 23°C and 60% relative humidity.
The curing time is about 5-8 minutes.
If the weight ratio of powder to liquid is carefully observed, the finished material should have a shiny surface.
The material should not be too thick, otherwise its quality is reduced.
Storage: C in a closed package. In a dry and dark place at a temperature of 5 to 25
