Artifrin-Health Forte

Pharmacodynamics. Artifrine-Health (1: 100,000) Fort is intended for local anesthesia in dentistry. Articaine is a topical anesthetic of the amide type thiophene group. In the tissues undergoes hydrolysis and releases the base, which has lipophilic properties and easily penetrates through the membrane into the nerve fiber. It is ionized and transformed into a cation. By interacting with the receptors, it inhibits the entry of sodium ions into the cell in the depolarization phase and blocks the impulse from the nerve fiber. Epinephrine (adrenaline) exerts a vasoconstrictive effect, thereby enhancing and prolonging the locally anesthetizing effect of articaine. Anesthesia after administration of the drug develops in 1 - 3 minutes with the duration of effective surgical anesthesia for at least 75 minutes. The drug is characterized by good tissue tolerance and has no adverse effect on the healing of the postoperative wound.
