EQUIA Forte Coat is a nano-filled light-curing protective polishing varnish. It chemically bonds to tooth enamel and the surface of glass ionomer cement, imparting a wet shine, providing increased restoration strength, wear resistance and protection against external influences. The use of EQUIA Forte Coat fully replaces the traditional polishing of glass ionomer cements and even surpasses it in terms of efficiency and durability.
EQUIA Forte Coat and EQUIA Forte Fil work in synergy to create a strong, monolithic material for restoring chewing teeth.
With EQUIA Forte Coat, which is a thin, flowable and glossy coating, transparency and aesthetics were improved. By combining the chemistry of a new monomer with GC's patented monodisperse nanofilling technology, EQUIA Forte Coat completes the restoration. EQUIA Forte Coat is applied with a brush and light-cured to form an ultra-stable, self-adhesive laminate coating that provides a smooth, dense surface with exceptional strength and impressive wear resistance.
The lacquer should be applied to a slightly moistened surface of enamel or glass ionomer cement, which affects the strength of the ion exchange bond and the durability of the coating.
A special nanofiller promotes the independent uniform distribution of EQUIA Forte Coat on the surface, so do not blow it with a jet of air before polymerization. Moreover, this blowing can disrupt the uniformity of the lacquer layer.
